Wordle Strategy
A strong Wordle strategy is about gaining useful information with every guess, not memorizing one supposedly perfect opening word.
Practical ways to improve
- Prioritize information early. Use common letters and avoid repeating letters before you have a reason to.
- Track every clue. Keep green letters fixed, move yellow letters and exclude confirmed gray letters.
- Watch repeated letters. A letter can appear more than once, and color feedback can reveal how many copies are present.
- Think about remaining possibilities. Choose guesses that distinguish between likely answers rather than simply repeating a familiar pattern.
- Do not force a risky guess. If you have several candidates, use a word that tests multiple uncertain letters when the guess count allows it.
