How to Play Wordle
Wordle is a daily five-letter word puzzle. You have six attempts to find the hidden word.
- Enter a valid five-letter word. Your first guess gives you information about the hidden answer.
- Read the color feedback. Green means the letter is correct and in the right position. Yellow means it appears elsewhere in the answer. Gray means it is not in the answer, subject to repeated-letter rules.
- Use the feedback on your next guess. Keep confirmed letters, reposition misplaced letters and avoid ruled-out letters.
- Solve within six guesses. The puzzle refreshes daily.
What the colors mean
Green
Correct letter in the correct position.
Yellow
Correct letter in a different position.
Gray
The letter does not appear in the answer, or its repeated occurrence exceeds the answer count.
